BIOGRAPHY FOR DR. SCOTT SEIER
Dr. Scott Seier was born, raised, and still resides in Amherst. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from the SUNY at Buffalo in 1982. He then continued on at the University of Buffalo to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery (Cum Laude) in 1986. Dr. Seier then received additional training for one year at the Millard Fillmore Hospital. There he concentrated on oral surgery, orthodontics, emergency medicine, and complex rehabilitative cases.
In Dr. Seier's twenty-three years of experience, he has kept on the cutting edge of dentistry. He was one of the first dentists in Buffalo to use the home tooth whitening technique that is now so popular. He uses the Waterlase laser system - a way of removing cavities without needles or drills. Dr. Seier has received additional training in implant dentistry - a revolutionary way to replace missing teeth or securing dentures. Most recently, Dr. Seier was one of the first dentists in western New York to be certified in Oral Conscious Sedation - a means of placing patients into a sleepy state of mind so that their dentistry can be done in the fastest and most comfortable way possible. He is an active member of the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation. For fun and relaxation, Dr. Seier likes to travel with his family (a wife and three children). In fact, if you know of a great place to visit, let him know about it. Dr. Seier also enjoys bowling (a 220 average), and gourmet foods (he even submitted a winning recipe in a local food competition). Dr. Seier also likes to compete in fencing, golf, squash and badminton. |
